How to register your products on MAPA?

AREA: WINES AND DRINKS

All establishments, producers, standardizers, bottlers, wholesalers, exporters and importers must be registered at MAPA, as well as all beverages produced in the country.

Labeling

All beverages produced in Brazil or imported must be labeled in order to ensure correct information to the consumer. Labeling must follow the provisions of art. 11 of Decree no. 6.871 of 2009 for beverages and in art. 16 of Decree no. 8.198, of 2014 for wines and grape and wine derivatives, in addition to other specific regulations.

PHASES:

1- Registration of the company in MAPA (technical file containing all necessary documentation);

2- After registration of the company, the registration of products occurs (for Brazilian products).

AREA: ANIMAL FOOD

The establishment that manufactures, fractionates, imports, exports and sells feed, supplements, premixes, co-products, cores, pet food, ingredients and additives for animal feed must be registered with MAPA and comply with current legislation.

Products are divided into two groups, registered and exempt products. Domestic products exempt from registration must have all technical documentation and labeling in accordance with the relevant legislation. Imported products exempt from registration must be registered with MAPA in order to be able to import them. Registered products must have their registration formalized in the MAPA system.

PHASES:

1- Registration of the company in MAPA (technical file containing all necessary documentation);

2- After registration of the company, the registration of products (for registered products) or registration of products (for imported products) occurs.

AREA: FERTILIZERS

Establishments that produce, sell, export or import fertilizers, correctives, inoculants, biofertilizers, remineralizers and substrates for plants are required to register with the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply.

Product Registration
To obtain the Product Registration with the Ministry of Agriculture, the applicant company must be registered in the activity category, established in art. 3 of IN MAPA no. 53/2013, pertaining to the product for which it is seeking registration.

PHASES:

1- Registration of the company in MAPA (technical file containing all necessary documentation);

2- After registration of the company, the registration of products occurs.

AREA: REGISTRATION OF PRODUCTS OF ANIMAL ORIGIN – MAPA

Manufactured or imported products of animal origin must be registered with DIPOA, either when intended for direct consumption or when destined for other establishments that will benefit them.

It is up to the manufacturing company registered with DIPOA/MAPA, or qualified for import/export, to comply with the national legislation in force in terms of labeling and industrialization of products of animal origin.

PHASES:

1- Technical evaluation and elaboration of labeling words in accordance with the Brazilian legislation;

2- Product registration in the MAPA system.

AREA: FOOD AND BEVERAGE LABELING

All food and drink must be labeled in accordance with Brazilian legislation. This process involves the legislation of the Ministry of Agriculture, ANVISA and INMETRO.

The steps that make up this service are:

Product viability: We check if the product meets the established identity and quality standards. After the analysis, a conclusive report on the product is issued;

Evaluation/elaboration of labeling: If the label is already in our language, we point out all the necessary changes, if it is in a foreign language, we elaborate a label model in accordance with our country’s regulations.
